Windows XP Dial-up Configuration

Step 1: Starting on your desktop, click on the start button and then right-click on "My Network Places" and select properties.

Step 2: Under the "Network Tasks" box click on "Create New Connection".

Step 3: The "New Connection Wizard" will come up and you will need to click "Next" to continue.

Step 4: Under "Network Connection Type" select "Connect to the Internet" then click "Next" to proceed.

Step 5: In this window you will need to select "Set up my connection manually". Then click "Next" to proceed.

Step 6: Now select "Connect using a dial-up modem" and click "Next" to proceed.

Step 7: Under "ISP Name" type in "mymethow" then click "Next" to continue.

Step 8: Now the wizard needs your ISP phone number. Enter "997-2448" and click "Next" to continue. Note: Enter the access number exactly as shown (with no spaces)

Step 9: Here you can tell it whether you will be the only user on your computer using this connection or if you want all users to be able to access this connection. We reccomend that you create this connection for "Anyone's Use" and then click on "Next" to continue.

Step 10: Now you will need to click "Finish" to close the wizard.

Step 11: Find your "Internet Explorer" icon (on your desktop or in your start menu) and double-click on it.

Step 12: Once Internet Explorer has loaded, click on "tools" and then "Internet Options.

Step 13: In the "Address" line type "http://www.mymethow.com" then click on the "Connections" tab.

Step 14: If there is more than one internet connection you will need to select mymethow and then click "Set as Default". Next click on "Always use my default internet connection". Once you have done this click on "OK" to finish

Congratulations! You have successfully configured your computer for your Mymethow Internet dial-up service.
